$9.88 Dot Com Domain Name Registration

Posted by – August 7, 2010

I won’t be advertising a lot about myd.com domain registrations at this blog. I just wanted to say that all dot com registrations price at myd.com will always be $9.88. The price will never go up as long as Verisign and ICANN don’t jack up the domain registration fees above that price in the future. You can also save some money by transferring your .net, .org, .us, .info and other non dot coms domain names to MYD. I tell my all my friends to do that rather than renewing their domains, it usually save them from $50-$300. Yes, they get discount prices too at wholesale prices. Therefore, I practically make nothing. And if you contact me, I may give you a free premium account to register domains at MYD at the same rate I get!

Should You Park Your Domains Or Develop Them?

Posted by – August 1, 2010

There really isn’t a clear answer to this one. It really depends on the number of domains you own and the quality of domains. If you have a ton of domains say at least over 100 and have a few really nice ones. I would just focus and build quality websites for the really nice domains and park the rest. If the parked domains earn you some nice revenues you can then resell them for a descent profit in the aftermarket. When your parked domains don’t earn you any revenue, then you will have to develop them to resell for a profit. Otherwise the zero revenue domains will just go to waste. The point is, a developed domain will certainly make you more money since you can potentially earn more from advertisements and also increase the end resell value of the domain as well. So remember to always park your domains if you’re not planning to use them anytime soon.

The only domain parking companies I recommend.

1) PARKED.com

2) SEDO.com

3) Fabulous.com

I have tried others and they just don’t compare in terms of timely payments, support, and earnings.

How To Save Money On Domain Renewal Fees

Posted by – July 29, 2010

Thousands of domains expire each year because either the owners forgot to renew them and or the renewal fees are getting too expensive. I myself have had over a thousand domain and renewing them is a pain in the a$$. Recently, domain prices have gone up at many domain registrars such as godaddy, fabulous, etc. Buying and selling domain names for most domainers, they make a few bucks per sale. So every dollar counts and being able to save as much money as possible on domain renewal fees really helps.

Here are some of my suggestions  to save money when renewing your domains:

1) Use coupons! you can find them simply by searching at google. example: godaddy coupon codes

2) Transfer domains between different registrar. For example: Godaddy and netfirms are always having discounts for domain transfers. So each year you could just transfer your domains around. It takes a little bit of time and effort, but if you have a lot of domains, that’s easily hundreds of dollars in savings!

3) Contact your domain registrar for bulk renewal rates. Or contact your domain registrar about the promotions of other domain registrar and see if they can match the prices.

Well those are my personal tips on saving you money when renewing domains. Thank you and don’t forget to come back again!
